Landscaping in Eden, Utah

Eden, Utah landscape design and construction.

Ski-country properties, second homes and full-time residences in the north end of Ogden Valley. R2 designs and builds the complete outdoor environment—built for snow, elevation and the view.

R2 LandscapeBuilt With Purpose.

Built for
the winter first.

Eden sits at the north end of Ogden Valley in genuine ski country, and that shapes the work. Snow load and where snow gets moved and stored are design decisions, not afterthoughts—a beautiful patio in the path of a roof shed is a problem every February. Many properties here are second homes, so the landscape has to look after itself between visits, which pushes toward durable materials, hardy planting and irrigation that can be shut down and started up cleanly. Deer pressure is constant.

What we build
in Eden.

01

Landscape Design

A plan that accounts for winter first—where snow sheds, where it gets pushed and stored, and how the property looks and functions when nobody has been there for a month.

02

Retaining Walls

Slopes made usable. A structural core—compacted base, drainage rock, drain line and geogrid—finished in natural or manufactured stone matched to your home’s exterior.

03

Fire Pits & Outdoor Fireplaces

In Northern Utah the yard usually empties out by mid-September. A built-in fire pit or fireplace buys back those months. Gas lines run during the build, seating designed around it, and materials that hold up to real heat and real winters.

04

Pergolas & Pavilions

Your patio’s unusable from two to six in the afternoon, so nobody goes out there. A pergola or pavilion gives that space back—engineered for Utah snow load, anchored into the hardscape during the build, and finished to match your home.

05

Site Prep, Grading & Drainage

Demolition, excavation, cut and fill, and drainage piped to a real discharge point. The grade and the base decide whether everything built on top of them holds—and it all happens before anything is visible.

06

Paver Patios & Concrete

Choose from varied paver colors, shapes, sizes and textures to get exactly the look you want—clean and modern, permeable to manage runoff, or traditional. Built on a compacted base to hold its line for decades, not seasons.

07

Irrigation & Planting

Hardy, deer-resistant, native-leaning planting on irrigation designed for clean winterization and spring startup—because a second home cannot be hand-watered.

08

Landscape Lighting

Path, wall, step and feature lighting on a designed layout and controls—so the property is safe to move through after dark and still looks like something from the kitchen window.

Ogden Valley is where we do our mountain work.

A few minutes from Eden, our Huntsville Mountain Retreat combines mature trees, native-inspired planting, natural stone and custom water features into a property that feels established and intentionally part of the mountain.

The 2025 Parade of Homes landscape is in the valley as well. See all projects.

Eden
questions.

01

Do You Build for Second Homes?

Often. The design shifts toward durability and low intervention—materials and planting that hold up when nobody is there, and irrigation that winterizes cleanly.

02

Where Does the Snow Go?

That is a design question we answer up front. Roof shed lines, plow routes and snow storage all affect where hardscape and planting can go.

03

Is Eden Inside Your Service Area?

Yes—Eden, Huntsville and Liberty are all part of our regular Ogden Valley work.

Weber County and Northern Utah.

Huntsville, Liberty, North Ogden, Ogden, and the surrounding communities across Davis, Weber and Morgan Counties. Building commercial in Eden? Landscape is usually the last scope on the job and the one most likely to hold up a CO—send us the plans and see commercial landscape construction.
